William Shaw of Botesdale Longcase Clock

A Fine very well carved case of wonderful intricate detail original to when the clock was made unlike most which are plain oak cases carved in the Victorian period. A square brass dial with gilded center and spandrels with the name plaque & chapter ring both engraved and silvered. An 8 day movement striking a large coiled gong on the hours. Stands 80 1/2″ tall, & circa 1760.
