A Fine Musical Longcase clock by Smith & Son of Blackheath.
The Oak case is of good proportions with a swan neck pediment and inlays to the door & base with stringing to the hood door.
The cast brass dial has a Strike-Silent option as well as an option to play 4 or 8 bells.
The 8 day movement strikes every 15 minutes play a tune until the full tune is played on the hour followed by the hourly strikes on a large coiled gong.
Stands 87 1/2″ tall.
